approached me get their money from. You think they would be
capped up."

That's a wonderful line from Mr Diamond [emoji6]
Do you think he got it from Connor O'Shea [emoji1]

Falcons looking like they will be contesting the
Promotion/Relegation playoff already. Assuming they should lose
that then one assumes their players will have escape clauses in
their contracts already in place. This will not help Falcons
position at all. Is there still a parachute payment?

I believe that only Doncaster & Coventry meet the stadium
criteria for Premiership entry. I expect Ealing to top the
Championship, but they don't meet the stadium criteria.
Therefore, wouldn't Falcons stay in the Premiership if that
happened ?

Isn't the proposal to modify the criteria under the new
Championship structure? And I suppose if push came to shove,
Ealing could probably cut a deal to use Brentford while they
build out their ground.

I don’t think there’s any guarantee they’d lose to Ealing over
two legs.
Doncaster would be the ideal candidate geographically but I
can’t see them toppling either Coventry or Ealing from the top
of the table.

Or Raffi's agent. I don't think that is a realistic option.
We've just established Porter as DC's successor and Raffi would
want to come in as a starter, I'd imagine. Would we risk losing
Porter for that?
There are also rumours we're looking at Kata and Tuipolotu in
the centres, but again I think it only makes sense if they are
prepared to be backup to Anyanwu, who has done a great job
replacing Andre so far.

Realistically, at the moment both of them start over Lennox, who
has had a terrific start to the year, but isn't yet of that
quality.
He may get there with time, and that is a different
conversation, but Tuipilotu specifically is a superstar

Could of different things at play - the new new championship
structure has ground requirements for entry to Tier 2, which
involve an 'easier' process in the long term for promotion.
There are also the current Minimum standards criteria, which are
being used for promotion this year, and clubs needs to be
audited and pass the criteria in the first half of the season.
Doncaster are the only club that met the criteria last season,
Coventry might sneak through.
From the independent article a few weeks ago:
--- Quote ---
> i asked each of the 12 Championship clubs this week if they
would be undertaking this season’s audit to determine if they
meet the criteria for promotion to the Premiership. The replies
were:
>
> Amphtill, Caldy, Cambridge, Chinnor, Cornish Pirates, Hartpury
University, London Scottish, Nottingham – no.
> Bedford Blues, Ealing Trailfinders – no comment.
> Doncaster Knights – yes.
> Coventry – yes, if terms are adapted.
--- End Quote ---
Bedford have no ambition to be promoted and have made that clear
before. Doncaster have started poorly and will likely not finish
top. So realistically only chance of a promotion play off for
Falcons this year is with Coventry, and even thats a 'qualified
yes'
