Not without justification, but in effect he would have a huge
say over who could and could not play. I doubt it would be
blatant, but rugby is a game of small margins and it’s not
unreasonable for the clubs to be worried about a competitor’s
coach having a finger on the scales. It may not even be
conscious but everyone has unconscious biases and when you have
two employers with different priorities it is almost impossible
to avoid one set of priorities influencing the other.
It’s the same reason we have neutral refs. Not because refs are
inherently biased in favour of “their” team, but because
neutrality reduces the risk that bias may creep in.

Sure. And Nick Evans could have ensued rival clubs would lose
players / Quins get to keep hold of key players. No one
questioned whether he would use his influence in the England
setup to benefit Quins or hurt rivals and rightfully so.
This guy will have his hands full trying to do his job to the
best of his ability without having to factor in his dark
       schemes!

We all disagree with each other on here on a daily basis. It's
happening in this very thread. You must not understand the
difference between that and repeatedly creating new logins for
the express purpose of needling Quins fans.
Arguments in good faith are welcomed by all.

Very obvious conflict and should always have been a non starter.
Pay sarries compensation or find someone else
I can't really remember the details of Nev 's involvement. Not
sure there was the same scope for conflict but guess there will
still some scope for obtaining inside info

Do you actually read the stuff that people post, or just make up
strawmen without considering what they've said?
Evans was involved during an international window, wasn't
working with Quins during that period and didn't have a say
about what happened to players outside of the England camp.
Morrow would be working for both the RFU and Saracens on an
ongoing basis, and having a say over who would be available to
their clubs, and when, throughout the season. I've got no reason
to doubt his character, but everyone has unconscious biases and
when you've got two masters with different priorities, there is
always a risk that it will influence your decision-making. it
doesn't need dark schemes, just human nature.
