Team for Friday

What on earth do we do with the back 3?
Seems Halfpenny is a doubt. Maybe Isgro can be parachuted in. Is
Joseph fit too as that would alleviate some of the pressures in
the centres?
Rotten luck with injuries already.

Think Saints away is going to be watched behind the sofa..
I think best case if he is fit
11. Beard
12. Ayanwu
13. Joseph
14. Isgro
15. David
If Joseph isn’t fit,
11. Anderson
12. Ayanwu
13. Beard
14. Isgro
15. David
I’d Chuck the Argie in as it’s all hands to the pumps. We must
avoid putting Marcus at 15. I’d prefer Jarrod there as I think
he’s played there before as last resort

Yes, somewhat regretting making the journey up now! Think I'd
rather see Bradley in there before Anderson and Beard at 11.
Isgro only played 30 odd minutes too which helps slightly. Big
ask for him though.

I think it’s worth a gamble over maybe someone like Zheng, as
afterall he’s been in the international set up and clearly has
something about him to get that far. I think I’d prefer to keep
our best option at Fullback (David) as it’s less of a risk
having someone new on the wing, then someone at FB who’s our
last line of defence.

With you on all counts. And who knows, maybe Tyrone isn't too
far away for example.

Who played on the wing in one of the warmups, was it Bradley or
Hyde? I think it was Hyde. He'd offer some interesting power.

Yes it was Hyde.
I was thinking it will be
FB David
Wing Beard/Anderson/Hyde
OC Joseph
Bench Hyde/Anderson
With an outside chance of Isgro in the squad

I think the argument for Anderson would be given his strong
defensive capabilities, we start him, try and stay in it at 60
then add some explosive power with Isgro/Hyde.

I'd go
Baxter
Walker
Titi
Herbst
Lamb
Kenningham
Wev
CCS
Care
Smith
Beard
Lennox
Joseph
David
Anderson
Jones
Jibulu
Kerrod
Launchbury
Lewies
Porter
Evans
Isgro / Hyde
Was tempted to give Wev or JK a rest for Lawday or Trenholm.
Also Riley for Jibulu.

Looks sensible if everyone on the list is fit. I might be
inclined to start Porter and have Care on the bench, though.
