Agree 100%, especially with our shiny new defence coach.

We did ok in 2021 while Andre was banned - don't forget that in
the improbable run to 4th and the title, he was banned for 4
must win matches including the semi final. And that was his
second ban of the season.
Andre was a big asset - but I don't think he's irreplaceable.

I'm not so sure it does in the space of one season - there are
just too few matches.
Finn Russell is on the latest BBC pod and talks about last
season. Apparently Bath conceded late v Bristol which took them
from a win to a losing BP. That 2 point loss meant that they
didn't go into the last round with a home semifinal sewn up.
Saints were able to rest players in the last round; Bath
weren't. How much impact did that have on the last 5 minutes of
the final?

Bath didn’t look sluggish and put up a great battle in the
final, so I’d say it wasn’t too impactive. I’d say Obano having
an early rest was the biggest factor

Danny Wilson talking about the replacements for Andre and Will:
HTML https://www.rugbypass.com/news/the-harlequins-conundrum-how-to-replace-andre-esterhuizen-danny-wilson/
He mentions Anyanwu, Northmore and Bradley (in that order -
though the article only chooses to highlight the latter two), so
Quins clearly are considering Northmore at 12, and Hyde doesn't
appear to be in the picture despite a fair amount of game time
there in pre-season.

I thought this thread was going to be another humorous anagram
of a player’s name. How disappointing!

We have to get past Andre and we’ve had months to plan for that.
We have some decent centre options too. My concern is that I
didn’t see much attempt to change tactics during pre-season so
either we have kept a lot under the radar or we are going to
just try and make someone be as much like Andre as possible.
Apart from a few attempted up and unders, the attack moves
looked very similar to me - and often led to errors and
turnovers.
