This competition exists because otherwise there aren't enough
games. But does anyone care about the results? It's a dud.

Personally, I like the chance to see fringe players/academy
players/those coming back from injury etc get a game, see how
they progress. Often these games are very entertaining too. Yes
- also it is a chance to see more Rugby at the Stoop for our
membership.

Am I misremembering but didn't the PRC exist when there were 13
teams in the league?

It is a follow on from the old England Wales Cup

Further back than that, no? I went to a Pilky Cup final in the
90s and it was established way before then.
My point was that the cup comp wasn't specifically designed to
make up for the lost Prem matches post-2022

The last time the premiership clubs were involved in a
competition including the championship teams was the year Quins
were relegated. It was replaced by the Anglo-Welsh which was
replaced by the PRC but the championship clubs only got involved
last season.

It's been filler ever since the premiership clubs pulled out of
the full cup.
