I once turned up at a friends house as we were going out for
dinner. The babysitter had arrived along with her boyfriend Ed
Jennings to look after their kids while we went out.

I would occasionally see London Irish players in Tesco Sunbury,
saw Bernhard Janse van Rensburg buying a hideous Christmas
t-shirts a couple of years back.
Seen Gary Street in Costa in Ashford a year or 2 back before his
stroke, regularly see Gareth Tong head of Athletic performance
out and about in Staines/Ashford area

Bumped (literally) into Geo Cronje in Pets at Home once, not too
sure if he counts as a Quins though.
Otherwise, saw Kai Horstmann collecting a parcel from a
collection point in a shop in Devon.

Sean Fitzpatrick taught my daughter and her class the Haka. They
performed it at her prep school. Sean’s daughter Ella led it.

1 - coached a school team at the Rosslyn Park 7s around 2015 and
coached against Paul Burke's Epsom college! They edged the game
by 2 points.
2 - In 2013 I played for a season in Wellington, NZ (Wainuiomata
RFC) and turned up to a home game and saw Steve So'oialo warming
up for the opposition (Tawa RFC)...so played against him!
3 - Apart from that I saw Marland Yarde in Harris & Hoole coffee
shop in Sunbury Tesco around 2018. Borrrrrring.

Seen Marler more than once at McDonald's after evening games,
and worked in Pat Sanderson's home when was playing for Quins.
Once saw Nick Faldo at Popham service station on the A303 coming
home from a Quins match. Tall enough to have played second row!

A good few years ago, I was in Worcester (my city of birth).
Near Foregate Station, I popped into a coffee shop. There, was
non other than Sam Smith (the former Quins and Worcester wing
who had to retire early due to injury). I remember him as a good
wing, very similar to Tom Williams.

When I did my level 2 coaching certificate, my table was mostly
coaches from our mini and youth section, but there was a young
lady on the table in Quins kit, who was doing her coaching
certificate as a requirement for playing.
At the start of the next season she broke into the England side.
I did my coaching qualifiction with Shaunagh Brown.
