I did once go to dinner in Byron in Putney after a game and
found NEv, Skins and a couple of other players having dinner. I
offered to buy them a drink but they politely declined.

I saw and chatted with Keith Wood in late December '98 in
Heathrow's Terminal 1. He was browsing in the WHSmiths bookstore
and I shamelessly got his autograph too, top bloke.

a good few years back I spotted and had a quick chat with Simon
Keogh when away for the weekend in France and Marlon Yarde was
standing in front of me in the queue at the garage near Kempton
Park - again a few years back obviously ! Maybe I have a thing
for wingers :-)

I could say Paul Burke as he was the Rugby master at my
daughters, now former, school at Epsom College. Saw him a few
times a week but feel that's a cheat.
Did also sit opposite a young Kyle Sinckler on a train into
London. He was on his way in to meet up with the Under 20s
England squad. He was massive, filled his side of the table but
was surprised that I'd recognised him as well.

Bumped into Nick Kennedy on Marlow High Street just after he'd
signed for Quins. Only found out it was him after complimenting
the Quins tracksuit, as it was then a brand new design.

Not Quins, and I've not met him, but at some point last year my
daughter realised with a certain amount of shock that the guy
punditing on a game she was watching on TV was the same person
as "Mr Ojo" who helped out with rugby coaching at school. And
she played for the same county team as Brian Moore's daughter,
so he was on the touchline a fair bit.

Thinking about it, I can add a couple more:
- Paul Challinor: playing house rugby. He was in my house team
at school, a year or two below me (not sure if this one really
counts, as it's not like I bumped into him).
- Brian Moore on the touchline of a county girls game I refed
earlier this year. His daughter was the 9. He kept his
opinions to himself, but I'm still glad I only saw him after the
game.
