Well I didn't expect that

Just nipped out to get something for dinner. More or less
opposite my house there was someone wondering along the road in
a Quins t-shirt.
That tends to catch my attention and it dawned on me that the
person had a familiar look to him. Suddenly, I realised that it
was none other than Will Evans, ambling past my house.
Ever seen a Quins player in a completely unexpected place?

You won't believe this, but I saw 23 of them in the Champions
Cup semi final once!

Wow, that is a random thing Jedzi, unless you live around the
Guildford area, of course.
I did see Dave & Abbi Ward in a service station on the M4 once
and had a little chat. 3 months later he was announced as head
coach of Bears women and I put two and two together.....I'm
smart like that 😁

Once saw Adam Jones on the Gruffalo Ride at Chessington. He
filled the boat.

Rob Buchanan used to live somewhere near me in Putney and was
always sweetly startled when he was recognised.
I think there was also once a group house in Putney (probably in
the days when we’d only just moved to Surrey Sports Park for
training) and if you went to Artisan on the Upper Richmond Road
at the right time of the morning you’d bump into a gaggle of
junior players and Lambo queuing up for coffee.
I had a good chat on the train to Twickenham with Will Skinner
after he’d retired but was doing corporate hospitality at the
Stoop.
And we bumped into a whole bunch of former players queueing up
for a pint and a pie at Ashton Gate before *that* semi-final. It
looked like Wardy (who’d just started as women’s head coach,
IIRC) had invited them all down.

NEv used to live on my street in Southfields and my dog had the
privilege of relieving himself on NEv’s car.

I eventually got used to seeing Rob behind the counter at the
Meat Room when he was doing his butchery apprenticeship.

A few years back I installed sky TV for Luke Wallace. I remember
seeing the name on my job sheet and the job was in Guildford. I
still didnt put 2 and 2 together!!
Nice guy, managed to get a photo too!
