I hope we have Pena signed on for a very long contract.
       Outstanding player.

I think it's just a year at a time for her (and for most of the
international players) - I think a lot of them would like to
play in a league in their home nation if one existed. But I hope
Spain take a while to get theirs going, because she has lit up
the pitch with her play this season.

I think you'll be ok. Spain have a league setup but I don't
think even their national women's team is professional.

Babalwa Latsha confirmed as leaving, much to the consternation
of Ms Poorfour Maj, who has met her a couple of times and really
       likes her.

Updated for the leavers. I will tidy it up for next season once
we think there are no more announcements to come

Now that offy have provided a confirmed list of leavers, I have
updated the squad list and tidied it up. The list of leavers -
as far as I can tell - is as follows. Most of them were listed
in the news article on 6 May, but it also looked like Nic
Haynes, who joined from Sarries ahead of the season, left to go
back to Sarries mid-season without any fanfare. Anyway, she’s
       not listed on offy.
       Confirmed Leavers 2024/25
       - Emma Blackburn* (Prop) - Leaving
       - Babalwa Latsha (Prop, South Africa) - Leaving
       - Nic Haynes (Hooker, England) - Left to return to Saracens
       - Kaitlan Leaney (Australia, Lock) - Leaving
       - Jemima Moss (Lock, Leicester) - Leaving
       - Chloe Benjamin (Flanker, CoE)* - Leaving
       - Lucy Heryet (Flanker, England U20s, CoE) - Leaving
       - Lauren Poole (Flanker) - Leaving
       - Harriet Millar-Mills (No 8, England) RETIRED 2025
       - Maddy Grant (Back row, Canada) - injury cover until the end of
24/25 for Sara Svoboda - Leaving
       - Isa Prins (Back row, Netherlands) - injury cover until the end
       of 24/25 - Leaving
       - Florence Neller (Scrum half, CoE)* - Leaving
       - Freya Bell (Fly Half, CoE)* - Leaving
       - Rebecca Grogut (Wing, CoE)* - Leaving
       - Kirsty Hillier (Wing, CoE) - Leaving

15 confirmed leavers is lower than last season, especially
considering there’s only one retirement and there are also a
       couple of short term signings.
What surprised me at first was how many of the players who are
leaving are fairly recently signed development players, with 6
of them having come through the Centre of Excellence pathway.
However, I suspect that will be a feature of the women’s game
until it goes fully professional. The women’s team (as far as I
know) doesn’t have the capacity to pay a large roster of academy
players. We should get used to a high turnover of development
players who don’t quite make it.
Overall, it’s still a strong looking squad. At full strength, a
match day XXIII would probably have 16 or 17 internationals. It
looks light at fly half with only 2 listed (albeit good ones),
so maybe there will be another signing or promotion to come.
I think the key thing for Quins next season will be to keep the
back row fit. Losing all three of Wythe, Callendar and Konkel
for much of the run-in really hurt Quins’ ability to get go
forward - with the focus on external recruitment being on the
second row, we may be looking to carry more through the locks.

I don’t know many of the new players, but Ms Poorfour Maj has
played with Solana Shaw de Leon and she is very quick.
