Thank god for that. I'd hate for us to play Quins.

Oh come on, Quinky. The scoreline would be huge, all the tries
would be scored by Quins, Quins are guaranteed at least a draw
and there's endless potential for bickering over which players
are Champ Cup quality and whether the ref favoured Quins or not.
(Not, of course)

So when do they tell us who we play where and when?

Stating the obvious but that will not be an easy group to get
out of...
Glasgow: URC Champions
Racing 92: 6th Top 14
Stormers: 5th URC
Toulon: 4th Top 14
But then again, any one of the four groups could be described as
the obligatory "Group of Death" (TM) [emoji4]

With our luck we’d probably get a few yellow cards too

Toulon great place to visit. A city port base of the French
navy. Last there April 2012.
Toulon 38 Quins 7 J. Wilkinson in there side.
Very atmospheric and noisy stadium.

I've tried to apply some science to this.
Having the league winners as being position 1 and the runners up
as 2, I've then allocated based on league position - so Munster
end up as 3rd because although they topped the league, they
didn't make the URC final.
I think that means the average league position for each pool is:
Pool 1 - 6.3
Pool 2 - 5.2
Pool 3 - 3.3
Pool 4 - 4.2
The higher average position should mean an easier pool in theory
so we (and for once I actually mean all of us) do OK.
However Pool 1 is also massively skewed by the Sharks having an
abysmal season (14th!) and scraping in by winning the Challenge
Cup. Removing the Sharks makes the Pool 1 average 4.8. Having
both Top14 finalists will also be very tough.
