OT Man to be charged over Ugo incident at chiefs

Lots of things speculated at the time, either way, someone now
appearing in court.

That's odd, loads of people on the internet (including some
podcasters) basically accused Ugo of lying and said it wouldn't
lead to anything

From memory, SOME people questioned Ugo's comment that nobody
stepped in. Part of the confusion around this was that there was
a scuffle with the alleged perpetrator, hence somebody was
definitely doing something.

There were a few high profile commenters on twitter saying that
the "real story" was nothing of the sort and Ugo should be
ashamed of himself, etc etc

My memory of the event is that he was over from Cape Town
visiting friends (who were Chiefs fans) and they took him to the
game.
In my mind - that makes him by extension an Exeter Fan and no
apology is needed.
It would be like me taking a guest to a members club. If we had
a few drinks and my guest behaved badly, then I would likely be
responsible.

That may be the case. The truth will out, and as of now no-one
is guilty of anything.
I'm not suggesting Ugo is making anything up. But, two sides to
every story, innocent until proven guilty etc

Yep,.let justice take it's course. I remember a certain podcast
going to town on this at the time which was really unnecessary.
