Hyde is 23. Has he been tearing up trees at Scottish this
season? I don't know but how much longer do you give a young
player before they are no longer "young" and have reached their
level?
Can we covert CCS to 12? [emoji13]

More seriously, you may see more of CCS and Dommers used as
first receivers off 9 and/or 10 to punch holes in defences and a
second playmaker at 12, much like England used Ford/Farrell.

The facetious answer is that Nick Easter hadn't had a
professional game until he was 26...
23 is not that old for a player to break into the senior squad -
especially when there's a player ahead of them who is a) very
good and b) available; most of kids don't graduate from the
Academy to a senior contract until then - Quins just happen to
have had a run of players who've broken through earlier than
that.

One name that springs to mind is the guy who kept Andre out of
the Boks - Damien de Allende. But I don't think he's available.
Is there no Samoan, Tongan or Fijian sevens guys that we could
mould into a Quin?

DdA is smaller than Andre - 6'2" and 101kg alledgedly.
Andre is much more like a modern back row size. Dombrandt is
listed as 6'3" and 118kg.

In the past the 'high profile' Fijians we have recruited have
turned out to be underwhelming to say the least....Bill Satala
anyone?

I'd counter that with Big Mo, albeit Samoan not Fijian. An
absolute beast and probably our best Island signing!

JJ was pretty good while he was here, too, though we let him go
at just the right time. The scrum engagement changed in favour
of smaller, more technical props, and he was never as good for
Sarries as he was for us.
