Anyanwu is the default 12 isn't he?

I think he has played more at 13 - but can play 12 as well. Same
as Northmore really.
Lenny really needs a run of games in one position to allow him
to develop. Performing occasional bit parts at either 12 or 13
is not doing him any favours.

We won't know until there's an announcement how Quins are going
to handle replacing the departing players, but it's been
genuinely impressive how the club has replaced a generation who
looked pretty unique.
At inside centre there are several candidates already in the
squad. None of them are quite like Andre, but he has few peers
globally. Anyanwu and Northmore are both options but have mostly
played 13, and Northmore in particular has never looked his best
at 12. Bradley and Hyde are quite promising but we've not seen
much of them at this level yet.
From what I can see, Quins are being quite careful about how
they introduce youngsters, and also seem to have used players'
time away from the 1st XV to really work on those players work
ons - for instance, Will Porter seems to have returned from his
injury as a genuine alt to Care for the 9 shirt, rather than
just a credible backup. i hope on that basis that when we see
some of these players step up to 1st XV on a regular basis, they
will be more complete players than when we've seen them in the
past.

Next season, with the outgoings and possible reduction of
playing time for players like Care, Marler & Lewies, I see it as
a bit of a transition season for us anyway. SO chuck Lenny at 12
and have BB/HH as backups to get more game time and see what
happens. If it doesn't work or look like working, we can look
for a more experienced 12 to help the transition. Marcus, Fin,
Marler back in the day, March etc all improved from game time
even in a barren period.
Just give it a go

My concern is Andre, there isn't really another like him
anywhere that I know of, but perhaps the coaches have scouted
out SA schools and found a gem?
Achy of our other centres playing 12 mega changing our entire
play style which is sub optimal....

CCS is already signed up on a long term deal.
Current plan isn’t to sign a direct replacement for Andre which
is a concern but we do have a couple of good young England U20
options coming through and Anyanwu

I did the scout's work for them and scoured the centres of every
club in the Prem, URC, Top 14 and Super Rugby.
There are NO 6'4" 115kg players at 12. Andre is such an outlier
it's untrue. This is a double edged sword though.
1) If there's no one else like him, no one else (other than the
Sharks) will have one either so it's not like we are coming up
against other giants at 12 week in week out and missing out.
But....
2) Quins play at the moment relies heavily on Andre carrying in
heavy traffic and he helps out Smith by being an "out" where he
can be given those hospital passes and still makes a few yards.
Without that, we need either a replacement or to play a
different way.
The only player I found that physically seemed to come close was
Menoncello, who until this year's 6 Nations, had flown under the
radar somewhat. He's young, nearly 6'2" and 110kg so an absolute
unit. He can also play 13 and wing so has more versatility than
Andre.
But I cannot imagine Bennetton letting him go for love nor money
plus the French clubs will all be keeping an eye on him.

Where did the conf on CCS come from? I assumed he had, but not
seen it anywhere

Hyde is listed at 6'3" and 101kg - but I suspect that's a couple
of years old and he looks to have a frame that could carry a bit
more muscle.
For instance, Kenningham is listed on offy as 6'3" and 95 kg,
but Wikipedia now reckons he's 107kg - which would be the sort
of change that's very achievable for a male professional player
in their early 20s.
