extension

Some squad trimming is to be expected.
Hoping incomings are quality over quantity.
Centre is a concern. I've seen suggestions of:
1. Andre's replacement coming from the academy. Unless we have a
superstar in waiting that's a significant drop off
2. Northmore at 12. He's much better at 13 imo
3. We're going to use Jev at 12 and move to a double playmaker
axis. Would be a massive shift from our current attacking
structure
Be interesting to see how it plays out.

CCS was an injury dispensation signing for Chisholm wasn't he?
Has it ever been confirmed he's signed long term? Sort of assume
he has but not sure I've seen it confirmed. With trenholm coming
through, I doubt they'll replace chis if he goes
Collier must be replaced
Sadly I don't think Andre will

Yes - you are correct - CCS+Lovejoy+Green are medical jokers
CCS is injury cover for Chis

Priority should be getting CCS signed up.
As for incoming, isn't the Salary Cap increasing? And didn't LD
confirm we would spend up to it?
If that's the case I would expect a few decent incomings.
Collier, Lynagh, Andre, Edwards all basically confirmed out,
there's a decent bit of cash freed up.

The players from Irish were unexpected this season but it looks
like we’re only keeping Joseph and hopefully CCS. It could be
that we’ve done some kind of deal in that we couldn’t pay them
much last season because of the Cap but if they stay we can pay
them well next season. Will Edwards is probably finding himself
well down the pecking order for flyhalf or utility duties as we
now have Jev and I think Benson and the lad, whose name escapes
me, who played for England U20 this year. It does seem to be
very quiet on the academy promotion and incoming player front
with next to no rumours.

We’ve got quite a large (and useful) academy class coming up for
potential promotion, between that and key retentions I could see
our external business being rather limited.
Just for fun, my guesses and picks below:
Hooker:
Out: Possibly one of Musk or Head? Or no-one?
In: [Jibulu - academy promotion]
LHP:
Out: SGB, possibly Els?
In: Possible signing (My choice: Will Goodrick-Clarke, Ealing)
THP:
Out: Collier, Chawatama
In: Lamositele, [Hobson - academy promotion]
Lock:
Out: possibly no-one?
In: possible signing or no-one? (My choice: Hugh Tizard,
Saracens)
Back row:
Out: Wallace, Alikhan (on loan for US 2024 season), Possibly
Chisholm? Lawday? White?
In: Possible signing (My choice: Josh Basham, Koto Blue Sharks)
Scrum Half:
Out: Possibly Gjaltema?
In: [Murray - academy promotion]
Fly Half:
Out: Edwards
In: [Benson, Slevin - both academy promotions]
Centre:
Out: Esterhuizen
In: [Bradley - academy promotion], Probable signing (My choice:
???)
Back Three:
Out: Lynagh
In: [Cleaves, Zheng - both academy promotions]
