The two bonus points could turn out useful, but that's
absolutely 3 points dropped. A handful of big errors, we were
the better side for 70 minutes.

Hard to say it's 3 points dropped when we were never in front at
any stage and losing handily on the scoreboard for the majority
of it, but I get the frustration. Certainly feels like one we
could have won, which isn't what anyone was thinking after 20.

Could have had that. Can’t start that slow and expect to win.
The charge down on André was a killer. Had all the momentum,
really turned the game.
Up to 44 points. Probably need 12-13 points from the last three;
could it come down to a win and in vs Bristol on the final day?

Agreed. We didn't get enough phases going, apart from the last
10mins when we were desperately chasing. Credit to Sale for
snuffing out our attacks. Dugdale deservedly MOTM.

Can only assume Sale will leapfrog us next week, given Saints
being the best team in the country and Newcastle copping a
legendary hiding today (they missed over fifty tackles in the
process!) so it really is as simple as getting everything we can
out of the remaining matches, bonus points and all

In isolation, 2 points from Enya is a half decent result. In the
context of the game and the season it’s a real frustration. We
often fail to back up big performances and throw in an error
strewn performance the game after, and so it has proved again.
Let's hope for better next week. Saints must be favourites with
the wind in their sails but anything is possible.

Not sour grapes (Sale took their chances well enough to get the
win) ... but I think Foley is a shocking Ref: several poor
decisions (in the main against us) including on potential kick
blocking, not penalising defenders trying it on & crying "ball
is out" going offside before stepping back, turnovers when the
jackaler is virtually horizontal & cannot be supporting his
weight, but in particular on his time-keeping when getting
scrums going, allowing slow resets, line-out speed, & restarts.
Arguably he is a little too eager sometimes, but Luke Pearce
makes for a much better match.
