Seems like a bad call from the organisers who put EPCR together
to not reward thr clubs that progress further in the tournament.
I guess it is easy for us to say now we have actually won a
quarter final knockout match.

That would be PRL. The same organisation that a few years back
now, against the RFU's wishes, decided that compensation for
losing players to international call-ups should be distributed
equally amongst all clubs. Not sure if that's changed either,
although I believe subsequent agreements resulted in far more
money going to the players called up.

I'm shocked that Sarries put some effort into a competition that
rewards other clubs...
