Well, apart from the TMO telling the ref, who rightly told him
that it was too long ago. You can't rule out a try when nothing
was wrong with the passage of play that led to the try, but
instead with a previous decision. You'd never complete a game.

Whereas you'll have a superb understanding of cheating...

That's exactly my point. He didn't check. The ref declared it
held up. The TJ overruled him. Absolutely I'd expect it to go to
the tmo, but if the ref thinks it's held up I'd say it's pretty
usual to stick with his own infield decision.
Again, the live view was the TJ view. They used the refs view
for the tmo replay. Presumably because the live TJ view was
inconclusive.

The TMO never had a chance to tell the referee he'd made a huge
mistake.

Actually, it probably would if you strike off the Lynagh try.

As soon as he saw it he mentioned it to the ref. They had a
conversation about it.

You're getting the hang of this now. Much more subtle.

More homer refereeing. Blight on the game.

Again, the ref was correct in his call that it was too late to
reverse it. The TMO spotted it too late. It happens. But then
absolutely no one expects you to be doing anything other than
muck flinging on here.
