If focus is on teamwork and performance then league position
should take care of itself.

Based on what we know so far i'd say that we have to be prepared
for Quins to be staving off relegation.
The team is no better than last year. We've changed the coach
but there is no guarantee that he can galvanise this group of
players and there is no guarantee that he can stop such a leaky
defence quickly.
We have no specific control at half back - Cat is an unknown
quantity and Smith has a lot of learning to do. Outisde of the
defence the other problem that Quins had last year was an
inability to compete for the ball, when the oppo had it they had
it for as long as they wanted, until they scored or there was a
mistake. We've not made any signings to prevent this either.
Areas for optimism: Codling might be able to sort out the line
out / rolling maul / beauty forwards - again could take time.
Other clubs :
Sale were odd last year - if they can win away from home and
maintain what they did last year they would be high up.
Saints - Unknown quantity - boyd could turn them around or
struggle
Bristol - Who knows - they've splashed some cash and brought in
some big players, most of whom bedded in last year - they should
be competitive which makes other teams nervous
Wuss - i don't know how they do it - you look at the team and
think that there is not much there and then they beat you......
Wasps / Saracens / Exeter will all keep trucking.
Gloucester look solid under the new management and made some
good signings.
Leicester seem a bit out of sorts
Bath have quality and perhaps less signings may help them be
more consistent.
I judge every seasons on the same criteria : Did quins get
relegated? No! Good Season.

Can't agree, NLB, the team was good enough to be in contention
at the halfway stage, then fell off a cliff. Mid table this
season, I think.
And can't agree with BB or RR. Better to win a tin cup for
another record breaking time than get kicked from pillar to post
in a pool we'll never get out of.

Actually prefer challenge cup this season there are some great
teams in the competition and some good new places for us to
visit
If we could computer at Champions cup next season, great. But
can’t see if for a couple of seasons
Unless there is serious attitude change have to agree with NLB
we might be at panic stations this season
I seriously hope not

I have genuinely no idea how we’ll get on. Could go either way,
but the only thing I’d say with any certainty is that top 4 is
out. 6th is possible if the team gels and simply reduces the
number of brain farts (Marler at Sale), the capitulation against
Wasps and simply not turning up against London Irish. If the
latter half of next season is continued in any way we could
easily be in a relegation scrap.

7th to 10th.
I'll plump for 8th.

The only guaranteed prediction is that we won't lose home and
away to Irish!
Other than that, as has been said, it depends entirely on what
changes PG can ring from the squad we have. As per last year, it
looks great on paper; good mix of youth and experience, Academy
and Internationals. I like the reports that PG wants to work on
the team side of things off the pitch as well; they need to play
for the shirt and for each other.
All that said, it is a bit of a mountain to climb after last
season, and while we have been trying to sort ourselves out,
no-one else has stood still. I think we have to be prepared for
bottom half of the table, and I think that 8th or 9th won't be
the end of the world - as long as the team can show that they
have moved forward, and that we are on an upward curve. I'd be
delighted if we make top 6 mind, but with everyone else aiming
for that, it will be tough.
Bring it on!

My prediction is Sarries first and Quins eighth. Not enough
time for Gustard to work his magic this season. Next couple
will be the real test
