       Why else would Cowan pull him back?
       Besides, how many times was the nut shown compared to the shirt
       pulling? Botha was rightly punished. Was Cowan punished at all?

       He wasn't beaten for pace. That suggests it was a race. It's a
       guy running in one direction while the other is recovering from
       a kick. Every single charge down like that is going to have the
       player doing the charge down beat the 9, because it's how
       physics works! Even props :-)
       Once they're level and he's not holding Botha, he smokes him
       (and Cowan isn't quick)
       No idea if Cowan was punished. These days it would be a yellow.
       In those days, rarely. You had to practically kill someone to
       get a yellow...
