New agreement will see EVERY match from Gallagher Premiership
Rugby broadcast on TNT Sports and discovery+
TNT Sports will also show select matches from the Premiership

New agreement starts from 2024-25 season.
TNT Sports in the UK & Ireland will remain the home of Gallagher
Premiership Rugby after Warner Bros. Discovery reached agreement
to broadcast even more matches than ever before, with a
commitment to show every game of the competition from the
2024-25 season.
The new deal with Premiership Rugby will see all 93 matches –
including the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Play-Offs and Final –

single match live throughout the season in one place. TNT Sports
and its streaming home discovery+ will be the perfect companion
for everyone looking to enjoy immersive rugby coverage alongside
outstanding content that will bring fans even closer to the
sport.
“With every game live, we can provide an even greater stage for
the game, its clubs and the players. We have been broadcasting
Premiership Rugby to millions of fans for more than a decade and
are excited by the opportunity to go even further through our
live broadcasts, programming and extensive coverage across
social and digital platforms.”
Simon Massie-Taylor, Chief Executive Officer Premiership Rugby,
said: “This first season alongside TNT Sports has already
produced some unmissable drama - so we are delighted to be
showcasing every single Gallagher Premiership Rugby game on the
same platform from 2024-25.
“Millions of fans have helped break viewership records this year
as we work together to innovate and bring the game to new
audiences.
“And with The Run-In kicking-off on Friday night, the race for
the play-offs is set to go to the wire ahead of the Gallagher
Premiership Rugby Final, live on TNT Sports on Saturday, June
8.”
BT Sport, which became TNT Sports as part of a Joint Venture

I wonder if this will mean that Saturday games run at 2pm + 4pm
and 6pm kick offs of something similar so that there is no
overlap on games

Sadly more Friday games. 10 clubs in the League means 5
games/weekend, which breaks down neatly into:
Friday evening
3 x Saturday afternoon (2pm, 4pm, 6pm)
Sunday afternoon

Sadly so
May mean I do not renew as getting there on Friday after working
all week is just too much hassle
That on top of 2 gales at HQ which I do not enjoy is probably
the end for me
Will go to a few games ad hoc

The cheapest season ticket (£395) next year is only £23 than a
one year subscription to TNT sports (i.e. 12 x 30.99 -=
£371.88))

I guess so.
The one thing that does not say is if the clubs get any more
money.
At least we know there will be a 10 team league and can stop
fretting about adding Welsh or Scottish sides.
We should know next week how many teams will be in the
Championship, there is meant to be a decision by Easter.
My money is on it expanding to 14 - giving four pools of six in
the Cup. And enough games for the Championship sides to have a
decent season - 31 games guaranteed.
I assume the cup will be played during the Autumn internationals
and Six Nations windows.

Doncaster were audited and could gain promotion to the
premiership is they win the league.
Hopeever, they will need to pull out all the stops as they are
some way behind Ealing.

I am wonderiong if the kick offs will be split in a variety of
ways
Option 1:
Friday 7.45pm kick off
Saturday 1pm kick off, 3pm kick off, 5pm kick off
Sunday 2pm kick off, 4pm kick off, 6pm kick off
Sunday 3pm kick off
Option 2:
Friday 7.45pm kick off
Saturday 3pm and 5pm kick off
Sunday 2pm kick off and 4pm kick off

To be honest it's not really a fair comparison - match
attendance v TV - but all you get are Quins rugby matches. TNT
have the whole Premiership as well as a number of other sports.

You are clearly a person who doesn't have to present a
PowerPoint presentation to his wife showing a solid business
case for buying a season ticket
