JESS GLYNNE TO HEADLINE BIG SUMMER KICK-OFF
Harlequins are thrilled to announce GRAMMY award-winning music
star Jess Glynne as the headline music entertainment act for Big
Summer Kick-Off on Saturday 27 April at Twickenham Stadium.
The world-renowned singer-songwriter, with over 1.2 billion
streams to her name, will take centre stage on the pitch in the
lead up to the Gallagher Premiership match between current table
toppers Harlequins and Northampton Saints, performing some of
her biggest hits in an unmissable experience for the whole
family.
The London-born artist made history by becoming the first and
only British female solo singer to score seven number ones on
the UK Singles Chart, including global hits 'I'll Be There’,
'Hold My Hand' and 'Don't Be So Hard on Yourself'. Her two
previous Platinum selling albums have both become number one
records, and she has collected three Ivor Novello nominations
and achieved nine BRIT Award nominations.
In addition, her long-awaited third studio album ‘Jess’ will be
released on Friday 26 April, following on from the success of
her new singles ‘Enough’, ‘Silly Me’, ‘What Do You Do’ and
‘Friend of Mine’.
"Headlining Big Summer Kick-Off at Twickenham Stadium is going
to be big. My new album comes out the day before so I’m looking
forward to celebrating that with everyone and perform some of my
favourite songs. Let's go!" Jess Glynne said.
Harlequins CEO Laurie Dalrymple added: “To have someone like
Jess Glynne headlining our Big Summer Kick-Off is hugely
exciting and she follows in a line of high-profile artists with
Craig David and Kaiser Chiefs performing at our previous two
events. She is a global superstar, renowned performer and a
massive influence in the music scene, producing some of the
biggest hits from the past decade. Crucially Jess is hugely
relevant to our younger fan base and is helping engage the next
generation of rugby fans. We can’t wait to watch Jess perform in
front of a massive crowd and raise the summer vibes to a whole
new level.”
Adults from just £35, Under 18’s from £25.

In terms of name recognition, that's a good coup by the club.
Maybe not my first choice, but it'll be very popular.

Can we be spared the usual “and now a beat combo called the
Beatles” comments about not knowing who she is.
Also, the sport you love is going to die if it doesn’t turn into
an entertainment business.
Massive name to get to show up - impressive stuff.

I also wonder if our major strides in the Pride Network have
influenced getting her to perform? I for one am pleased and
apologise in advance for dancing and singing through her set

I suspect that the prime motivator for her is that she has a new
album out on 26 April 🎤🎼💰
