One of the things I particularly enjoy is when the friendless
weirdo claims to know what people outside the Stoop think of any
of our players, as if anyone can bear to interact with him long
enough to get into that discussion!
In the analytical spirit of this thread, let's take a look at
those seasons.
Malins' tries in 21/22, playing for the runners up:
3 v Bath away (finished 13th / last place)
4 v Wasps home (finished 9th)
1 v Sale at home (6th)
1 v Worcester at home (11th)
2 vs Bristol at home (10th)
1 v Cardiff at home (3rd out of 4 in the URC Welsh regional
pool)
4 v Worcester away (11th)
1 v Gloucester away (5th)
That's 14 tries against the bottom third of the table (11 of
which came in 3 matches), 2 against middle third, and none
against the 3 sides sharing top 4. 1 try away from home against
a side out of the bottom third. Plus one in Europe against the
3rd best Welsh side.
Murley in 22/23, playing for the 6th best team:
2 vs Saracens at home (Champions)
2 vs Exeter away (7th out of 11)
1 vs Northampton at home (4th)
2 vs Leicester at home (3rd)
1 vs Bristol at home (9th)
2 vs Racing 92 away (5th in Top14)
1 vs Sharks at home (3rd in the SA group of the URC, but 3rd in
Pool A of the Cup out of 12, just ahead of Saracens)
1 vs Gloucester away (10th)
1 vs Exeter at home (7th)
1 vs Bristol away (9th)
2 vs Saracens away (Champions)
1 vs Bath at home (8th)
1 vs Leicester away (3rd)
For those keeping score, that's:
- 8 tries against the top 4 teams, including 4 against the
Champions
- 3 tries in Europe against strong teams (2 away in Paris)
- 7 tries away from home (2 vs bottom 4, 2 vs middle 2, 3 vs top
4)
Speaks for itself. Malins sure did make hay against poor teams,
though!

Cadan made a mug of Malins when they played against each other
but why are you bringing Malins into this? Nobody has mentioned
him .

Because Malins was the top try scorer the year before Murley
was. And he scored more tries from fewer games. Do you think
that means Malins is a great winger?

Interesting to know that the recipient of the highest try scorer
of the season in the premiership is so heavily vetted on quality
before being crowned. I always assumed it was just a numbers
game much like the scoreboard at the end of the match - it's not
how, it's how many.

At least get your facts right...

So Radwan is 2 inches taller and still manages to give away 2kg
to Murley.
And since you have scant regard for factual accuracy, we can set
aside pure numbers for a second... Even then, few rugby fans
worth their salt would argue that Radwan is more powerful
through contact than Murley - who is low-slung and knows how to
carry his weight into contact both sides of the ball, to great
effect (as well as being a proven finisher, reader of the game
and possessing the requisite turn of pace, fitness, etc).
Radwan is a broken field counter-attacker - the best in the Prem
at that - but the point I'm making is that I struggle to think
of any other moments in a game where I'd rather have Radwan on
the pitch than Murley (or Freeman, Sleightholme, Feyi-Waboso for
that matter). All of those 4 have, in my mind, staked a much
more compelling claim to a place in the next England squad than
Radwan as things stand.
But I know I've just wasted 5 minutes of my life writing this in
response to you - and that's all you really wanted isn't it? You
must feel like such a winner.

You guys really struggle with views that don't echo don't you.
I think Radwan is one of the biggest wastes of English rugby
talent in the last 20 years. He's a potential world-class
player. There’s simply no substitute for speed - however it's
slung.
Incidentally, do you think Alex Lewington is a good winger? Or
the aforementioned Malins?

If it was just about the numbers then you'd have even less basis
for your claim that Murley isn't rated outside of the Stoop,
given "just the numbers" makes Murley the top scorer in 22/23
(with 4 more league tries than Malins) & 2nd top scorer in 21/22
(1 behind Malins in the league). He's scored 30 tries in the
last 2 full seasons of Premiership rugby (41 appearances).
Malins scored 26 in those seasons (30 matches). Cracking strike
rate! Fewer tries overall and a much higher percentage of them
coming against poor teams, though :-(
Your obsessive banging on about anything Saracens related
doesn't hide the fact that a) Malins got into the England team
off the back of that scoring record which is exactly the chance
that people want Murley to get, and b) Murley scored heaps
against quality sides rather than butchering the worst teams,
which would suggest that people are more likely to rate his
exploits than those of Malins and that his quality can shine
against top sides. But I see we've reached the bit where you've
forgotten what you've posted in favour of your
monkey-flinging-faeces approach. Again.

Not even when we have the ball in broken play? Great players,
but Radwan smokes all of them for fun.
Marse - Malins is OK, but he's not fit to tie Murley's laces.
And you know that, because I've posted that 8 minute YouTube of
him destroying saracens repeatedly in response to your silly
suggestions about Alex Lewington.

Malins got in the England team as a no.23 because he can play
multiple positions. Murley can't.
I've not said how I rate Malins either, yet you assume I think
he's a top player. You assume a lot and we know what assume
means.
I can tell you honestly that Murley's name is virtually never
mentioned when people I speak to talk about players who
should/could be in the England team. Alex Lewington isn't either
but he's got just at much claim to being hard done by as Murley
has, probably more given his bulging trophy cabinet.
