But anyway. What can the club do - they say they are losing out
on half a mill. They have STH's phone number
Send a text to all mobiles. "Don't forget ticket resale - if you
can't make the game this weekend, click here to put your seat up
for resale. The game is sold out and we have xxx people on the
waiting list. Receive £xxx [give a number, not "1 465th of your
season ticket"] straight into your bank account by the end of
the weekend!"
And don't charge people fees - people hate paying fees for
something they are booking, let alone something which they know
somebody else will be paying a booking fee for as well.
Make it easier - I don't want to have to log in and spend 5
minutes putting my ticket up for resale, when I know that their
ridiculous "booking fee" and formula which puts friendlies and
preseason games on the same footing as league games is going to
make it barely worth my while - if they are missing out on
hundreds of thousands, make it much quicker and easier for
people to do it. Sending out yet more junk email that nobody
reads is no use. Don't be so penny-pinching - you're going to
sell my ticket for £50 and give me £12 after a fee, maybe give
me £17 instead and still make a massive profit.

Surely there must be a way of electronically checking in advance
if people are intending to attend or not, without bruising too
many ego's?

Deadly, you don't mean, a Quins app????
Now that would make some of the issues above easier, sadly not
the meaningful friendlies one.....
