Laurie added after the main presentation that 40k is the point
where BG/BSKO make more money than a game at the Stoop, and once
they open up the top tier each ticket is very close to pure
profit.

Also Will Joseph stating how long CCS wil be out for was likely
'frowned upon' - he looked bit embarassed after - shame for us
as CCS would have been key with Sarries next week and then the
Glasgow game !

resale.
Erm, stop charging people a booking fee and including
meaningless games in the formula then.
I mean it's utterly crazy - it's costing you HALF A MILLION yet
you still try and gouge people who are essentially doing you a
favour.

Maybe I didn't explain what was said (and for the record, I
haven't gouged anyone)
But - it was something like
I think they said that typically 25% of season ticket holders
don't turn up for games.
The Baa Baas and Munster games had 9000 odd bums on seats
whereas the games were actually sell outs.
97% (I think) of ticket resales are actually resold
The demand for tickets was such that the club could have made
1/2 million extra profit if the 25% who don't show up used the
resale

Well, anecdotally (from on here 😁) there were thousands
of STs up for resale for the Munster game; some of them for a
month before the game, but they didn't sell.
The club can't blame the STHs for not being interested in a naff
fixture that no-one else was much interested in either.
Judging by your figures, if only 9,000 odd people turned up for
a sellout then far more than 25% of STHs weren't interested.
Nearer 66-75%.
The lesson for the club is that friendly matches are not an
adequate replacement for the league games that disappeared.

The 25% figure was for league games.

I would've gone to the Munster game had it been on a Saturday or
Sunday, but Friday night games now mean getting home at around
1am at the earliest, so it's not worth it for a friendly. I'll
be there for Glasgow, though.
