Well it was kind of already dead under Eddie. I'm not saying I
love the way Borthwick sees rugby but he did get us to a WC semi
using a very stripped down gameplan.

Given Argentina were genuinely awful and the weakness of the
rest of the group, nearly losing to Samoa and nearly losing to a
Fiji side missing their best playmaker does not deserve much
credit. England were dire and nearly fluffed the easiest route
to a semi final a side has ever had
