Interesting. I knew he was back but I doubt he'd have been in
the 23 under normal circumstances. Possibly not the best game to
come back for but I'm sure he won't care.

There's another bit on the Times that details how Smudger & Ford
were training with the set-plays written on their hands

You can tattoo "kick chase" on your knuckles and have a spare

The end of the 2020 Autumn nations cup. The point when I
realised I didn't actually enjoy watching England much any more.
England won the cup against a French side containing a lot of
the current mainstays while Eddie had followed up runner up in
the 2019 World Cup and a 6 nations win by changing England's
game plan to involve primarily hoofing the leather off it. In
the group stages England had dispatched Ireland and Wales
without any real fuss. How things have changed since.

I mean it's a nice try but this is a top 5 England try of all
       time.

So good. People forget how fun that team was to watch. Cohen,
balshaw, Robinson, lewsey, simpson-daniel, Healey, greenwood.
Some class outside backs behind some forwards who did the basics
well first and foremost but also knew when to give it to the
       backs and could link well.

Agreed T-Bone. Borthwick could only dream of that
approach....and then dismiss it as a nightmare
