Possibly silly season reporting, but we probably wouldn't be
able to pass up on a load of cash if it was offered.

Yeah, this starting to look a bit worrying now. I know you have
to evolve and shouldn't rest on your laurels (2013-2021) and
should be aggressive in improving the team but if you
haemorrhage to quickly, it will have an impact on other players
thinking is this a sinking ship?
Yes, of course we have good replacements in each position, bar
Andre of course, but the depth then starts to become an issue.
Andre may well leave at the end of the 24/25 season but it gives
us another year to either develop Lennox or coax Ollie Lawrence
or the Italian centre, Lemoncello or whatever he's called...

As opposed to the tens of millions of debt that the men's team
has run up - and continues to run up - over the years?
That said, being serious, there is a good chance that Quins will
finally break even at the operating level across both the men's
and women's teams; they probably would have achieved it last
year if it hadn't been for disruption limiting the attendance at
BG and BSKO.
But a significant payment to release Andre must be very tempting
if it starts to make a hole in the debt. The question is whether
any of our other options is ready to replace him (or whether we
could get an affordable short term replacement until they are).
And you wouldn't begrudge him a propoer shot at the Bok 12
shirt, especially with Flannery in the coaching squad and
presumably a supporter.

I haven't checked on the other message boards, but I imagine
most teams are having similar dilemmas. Squads are going to be
cheaper and smaller next season, and it's going to be down to
which teams make smart cuts.
Might be worth a bet on Exeter to take the title next season -
they've done their clearout early, and Baxter has done a good
job of melding a pretty unheralded group into a decent side.
They'll be a year ahead of everyone else in rebuilding.
Always assuming everyone stays under the reduced cap, of course.

It's never safe to bet against Sarries. They always seem to find
a way to retain seemingly expensive talent, who just want to
play for love...

Collier - needs properly replacing. Coming to end of his career
though, so would need replacing soon anyway.
Lynagh - not ideal really. Let's hope cleaves is the real deal.
Sounds like an unfortunate situation all round.
Esther - would be a blow. Very hard to replace like for like.
Anyanwu the obvious homegrown replacement. Any suitable
replacement from outside would cost a fair bit.
Care - can't see him going but he'll have to retire at some
point. Hopefully porter can step up, but then we'd need a decent
back up option.
Lovejoy - injury replacement for Kerrod. Very happy with Kerrod
as third choice
Chisholm - shame if he goes as he's currently fit and firing,
but he's injured a lot. CCS is the obvious replacement, with
academy options too

Fingers crossed we also get rid of deadwood at the club to save
money to go into getting a few key signings.
Els, SGB, White, Lewies
We could blink and not notice their absence
