Lawday for Germany?

Currently watching Spain vs Germany on TV here. A viewer asked
the question if it was known that Lawday's mother is German, the
answer was no, but the commentator ( the German team mamager)
said he'd investigate and try to call him tomorrow!

Wasn't Cadan Murley born in Germany?

Never Sleep, I don't know but he's more likely to be on the
England radar than Lawday!

Cadan has played England U20, doesn't that commit him to the
national side?

Don't think so.

Might be on the radar but he's unlikely to be capped whilst the
seemingly undroppable Daly can draw a breath.

They changed the regulation in 2018.
Each nation can still nominate a second most senior team which
captures a player.
But, since May 2018 it cannot be the U20 side.
However, Cadan played for England U20 in February 2018, before
the change.
So, I think he is officially English.
Though, as others say, Daly has the shirt, but there are Saxons
games later in the year.

I didn't think England ever used the U20s for that purpose.

Even still, isn't it the case there's only a 3 year period where
you can't play for another international team?
For me: Cadan still has a great chance of playing for England,
but for someone like Lawday, why not have a bit of fun with the
German national team!

It makes players less employable if they’re no longer EQP. It’s
why Lovejoy hasn’t played for Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
