Gosh, what constitutes the start of a run up, I'm thinking Dan
       Biggar's done worse?

Had he stepped back and taken two steps to the side, then paused
to compose himself, he would have been fine.
But stood stock still for thirty seconds, then moved.
I think any reasonable person would assume he had started his
       run-up.

He did not start to approach the ball in my view. Complete balls
       up by the ref imho

It didn't look like his normal approach, especially that close
to the posts. Strange all round.

He was trying to eat up some off the yellow card time, so that
may be why he changed his normal kicking routine. I thought the
movement had to be towards the ball, but to be honest he should
have just kicked it over in his normal manner. Score the points
       and get on with it.

Complete balls up by Ford. That movement isn't part of his
routine and there's nothing in the laws about "approaching the
ball". And he only had about 8 seconds left on the clock.

Yeah, ford to blame. Right in front of the posts, just get on
with it. They probably will need to tighten up the guidance /
laws though if this starts happening more often

       other players in these actions.

Garland and his team had obviously studied Ford’s action when
taking kicks; the Welsh response was planned

what yesterday showed me was that northern hemisphere rugby is
going backwards .. two woeful games
