It's a shame he is leaving as obviously a class player and cam
only get better. But as he is going I wonder if there's any
chance of luring Marchant back now the Sarries deal doesn't look
like happening? Doesn't have to be a out and out winger

I wouldn't say quite often, nor are they out and out wingers
you'd pick from the very off to be there. Bergamasco played
scrum half but you'd never call him a scrum half.
My main worry is losing Louis, who for me is first choice when
fit along with Murley, and not replacing him at all, just
because someone can cover wing. That doesn't mean its a viable
       option for a new season.
Cassius might step up and all is well, but I think because we've
had success before from the academy, it's almost taken for
granted they will succeed. If it's clear when played against a
level of players he's not yet tested himself at, and he's found
himself short in areas, it then puts pressure on Murley and
David to remain fit with Green. If Green gets injured, David
will be FB, and then we are left short.
Over the years the club has had too many "making up the numbers"
signings and I sincerely hope we are able to get a suitable
replacement, whether that's a first teamer, or a more
experienced player who can step in and perform when needed.

That would be pretty unusual, wouldn't it? Only having one or
two senior players out of contract in a year would make
succession planning tricky. The club usually has about one third
of the players up for renewal each year.

Surely, Louis is below David in the pecking order.
David covers multiple positions, makes try saving tackles and
       scores loads of tries.
I think that we have Caden+David+Green in the starting 15 and
then basically it depends on the bench split whether Louis gets
       game time.

If all are fully fit, I think it depends on the opposition.
Against a more physical side we mmight start Louis over Nick.
Whether Beard is fit is also a factor as he can cover wing,
meaning you could have a centre as 23

sure, if they are 13s playing on the wing in a pinch.
Occupied positions by Luke on start team :
       Center : 34 times ( Outside Centre 73%, Inside Centre 19% )
       Winger : 3 times ( Right Wing 5%, Left Wing 3% )
Occupied positions by Will on start team :
       Center : 22 times ( Outside Centre 88% )
       Winger : 3 times ( Right Wing 8%, Left Wing 4% )
Joseph started on the wing once for us, with Louis on the bench
vs Ulster (perhaps now the reason is more clear)
He was all at sea, then Beard went off and he mercifully came
inside and Lynagh ripped them to pieces.

Lynagh scores a lot more tries than David.
       Quins careers
       David P51 (42 starts), 14 tries
       Lynagh P58 (41 starts), 27 tries

To be fair to David, Lynagh's record was boosted by being part
of the 2021 run to the Final - he was scoring at a try a game
for his first 12-15 games, but has fallen back a bit since

He was out for practically an entire season, and hasn't really
had a proper run of games since (I'm not suggesting that this
       isn't necessarily his own fault!!)
Not really sure how you can say Lynagh's record is "boosted" by
being part of the run to the final as if that's a passive thing
       - he was a stand-out performer.
