Personally, I do and Ms Poorfour Maj has ambitions to play

deja vu? Didn't you post this a year or so ago, particularly the
absolutly hilarious suggestion that women's rugby is not that
far off where men's rugby was 20 years ago in...hmmm, 2003ish?
Anything particularly happening back then?

Women's rugby just isn't that great to watch. I've tried to get
into it, but the skills and application are probably better in
Nat 1 at best.
Football seems a bigger draw, but rugby is a hard sport in
general to generate new fans, yet alone get interested in the
womens game.

That's just rubbish. Either of those two teams yesterday would
have been hammered by any university team from my time 40 or
more years ago.

England women played an RWC Final in 2023; they lost by less
than a score despite having been a player down for 50 minutes.

And in the past 15 months England Women have lost the RWC Final
by less than a score having been a player down for 50 minutes,
won a 6N Grand Slam and won the inaugural WXV1 competition
against New Zealand in New Zealand. Next year, they get another
crack at the RWC, where they are likely to be favourites and the
RFU will be aiming to deliver world record attendance for a
women's tournament and final.
But I was primarily talking about the standard of play at club
level, which was also a lot more variable in the men's game 20
years ago.

Saying that an all male team would beat an all female team in a
contact sport is a bit pointless.
Women are generally not of the same physical stature as their
male counterparts.
E.g. Shaunagh Brown has played as prop for England and Quins.
Height
Compare to Finn Baxter
Height: 1.85 m; Weight: 116 kg
(according to wikipedia)
- So, Finn is almost 3 inches taller and 3 stone heavier -
which gives him a massive advantage in a pushing competition.
It doesn't mean that Shaunagh isn't a good player. It just means
that she is smaller.

I would need to do some research for that.
Shaunagh was actually playing at #8 on Saturday.
Maybe I should have compared her to Dommers.
Basically, the same point stands though.
No matter how good she is, she doesn't compare physically with
her male first team counterpart.
Therefore, saying that an all male university team would beat
the women's is meaningless as it is not a like-for-like
comparison.

Shaunagh primarily plays 8 for Quins these days. A more typical
size for an international prop would be Hannah Botterman (1.58m,
103kg) or Sarah Bern (1.7m, 90kg) but I believe the biggest
current player in women's rugby is Wales's Sisilia Tuipulotu at
1.75m and 113kg.

No
Of the big 4 (NFL, Baseball, Ice Hockey and Basketball), there
is a pro Basketball League and a newly formed Ice Hockey League
