       The run-in
   DIR By: RodneyRegis

So assuming a 5 point win for Sale tomorrow, that leaves
       Saints 44
       Sale 37
       Quins 37
       Bath 37
       Sarries 36
       Chiefs 35
       Tigers 33
Next game is the weekend after the 6n, away to Sarries (of
course) so presumably we won't have the international back.
       We have
Sarries away (no chance without Smith/Care etc)
       Bath H (must win)
       Sale A (winnable)
Saints H (could be the key fixture)
       Chiefs A (winnable)
       Bristol home (expect 5 points)
So actually a pretty good set of home and away fixtures, with 2
of 3 away games we can travel in hope. The next 5 are
       effectively 10-point games.

       Good discussion, thank you.
Just had a quick look and the Sarries game was the same weekend
last year, i.e. straight after the 6 Nations. So, hopefully, we
will be able to go full strength for that game, as we did last
time. It's a huge opportunity on a big stage. Last season we
scored some good tries but conceded a lot. Our defence is better
this year round, so I feel optimistic about a positive result.
Exeter away, at a crucial time, is the one that worries me the
most. But I know we have it in us to win that one too.
We simply must win those 3 home games, though. We also need to
be Gloucester and Newcastle fans every weekend!

When was the last time we beat Smarties away? Could be a
blessing I'm disguise if we are forced to rest our
internationals as unlikely to get anything from the game anyway.
Target the home games and hopefully one of Sale or Exeter
       although won't be easy

If I recall for the sarries game last year, their England
players were released back but ours weren't. Ridiculous
I'm not sure anyone has an easy run in. All teams in contention
are playing each other. Need to keep care, smith and dommers fit
I know we're lucky to have big game every year and some think
it's unfair. But for sarries to be able to nominate us as
opposition every year for their big game, when we frequently
don't have our internationals available, is ridiculous.

As is very often the case in this place, you recall wrong.

Do you mean the occasion when Faz was available for them but
       Smith wasn’t for us?

There was a game recently when maro, faz, etc were released back
to them but Smith wasn't to us. Can't remember which game
       though.

Doubtless sarries flashed the cash again. Or gave the rfu an
       offer they couldn't refuse.
