and Farrell to Racing a done deal too.

Marchant was on a three year deal so will have to take a big old
pay out from sarries to get him.

Good luck to him if it is true, he was a legend for Quins and he
left with plenty still to offer to other clubs. If this is his
next move then get over it and enjoy a player of his quality
back in the Premiership. Good luck Joe. ps I hope he has a s**t
game if he ends up playing against Quins.

Much with Tizard, it doesn’t stop him being a good Quins player
just coz he goes to Mordor.
He’ll have to get used to lots of empty seats.
Can’t even get people to show up for a European game on a
Saturday night.

Still makes no sense.
Marchant could play at the World Cup so going overseas didn’t
stop that.
Eddie was due to leave after France 2023 whatever happened so
there was supposed to be a new coach coming in anyway.
Marchant may have thought Eddie was going to change his mind and
hang around after the
World Cup.
I can’t see any scenario where that was likely. Win the World
Cup and it’s job done for Eddie. Go out on a high. Don’t make
the semi final and it’s a failed campaign which tarnishes
Eddie’s reputation. Come 2nd, 3rd or 4th and it’s a backward
step from 2019.
It’s also a weird gamble for Joe to make that he’d forfeit his
England career in case Eddie changes his mind.
I can only see that he saw a chance to experience another league
(as he did with Auckland) and make a sackful of cash at the same
time.
Completely understandable decision but not the conspiracy that
some want to see.

You'd think at least another year in France for the experience
and/or the cash.
Joe did of course make this decision prior to becoming first
choice outside centre at the World Cup.... maybe Borthers and
the RFU are whispering in his ear with offer of a central
contract.

Difficult one. Want him back in the England squad of course, but
it seems to be going ok over there for him. The team are on a
bit of a downer but that will change and he's not a million
miles from home.
Sarries are going to have a few gaps to fill so expect some big
signings from them.

Nice central contract for him maybe. So sarries get a great
player on the cheap
