HARLEQUINS LAUNCH NEW MATCHDAY REPORTING SYSTEM AT THE STOOP
This week sees the important introduction of a new reporting
tool that will ensure a real-time response from matchday staff
for issues, abuse or discrimination in and around the stadium.
The instant reporting system forms part of the Club’s ongoing
commitment to create the best and safest matchday experience for
visitors to The Stoop. By scanning a QR code, spectators can
quickly, easily and discreetly report any issues or concerns
they experience during an event at The Stoop, be it a
facilities-related problem or more serious security or safety
concerns. Matchday staff can then immediately investigate the
issue enabling a swift resolution.

QR codes are visible on the backs of seats around the stadium
and in all public bars and scanned using supporters’ smartphone
cameras.
What the new system delivers:
Real-time Solutions: Enabling issues to be addressed as they
arise, ensuring a smoother and safer experience for all
spectators.
Enhanced Safety: Reporting any concerns immediately will help
the Club maintain a secure environment for all supporters, e.g.
physical or verbal abuse, discrimination, or other anti-social
behaviour experienced before during or after an event.
Continuous Improvement: Instant feedback on the facilities you
use will help with ongoing improvements to the stadium e.g.
fixing a broken seat or cleaning spillages or toilet facilities.
Effortless Communication: The QR code reporting tool is designed
to be user-friendly, allowing supporters to communicate
effortlessly and anonymously if preferred.
Please remember stewards are always available for any urgent or
immediate issues and stewards and their supervisors are all
trained to handle situations that may arise in a controlled and
sensitive manner.
How to Use the Reporting Tool:
Scan: Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code located on
seats, posters, signage, and in key areas around the stadium.
Submit: Share your concerns or feedback through the reporting
interface. You can choose to remain anonymous if you wish.
See the Impact: Your contributions will make a real difference
in enhancing the overall stadium experience for everyone.
Harlequins prides itself on being a Club for all and the safety
and enjoyment of supporters on a matchday is paramount. This new
tool is an enhancement of our existing Spectator Code of
Conduct, which details how supporters are expected to behave
when enjoying matchdays at The Stoop, with an aim for every
visitor to The Stoop to feel safe and welcome.

It's a good idea, but how many reports will they get on the
first attempt about the bucket in the gents and the queues in
the King's Bar

I scanned the QR code from the photo above of FF's post.
Looks quite easy to use.
You choose the event - then give your
Name, Stand, Block, seat and phone number.
You then describe the issue and optionally upload a photo.
You can choose to be kept informed.
You then need to agree to the privacy policy and submit.

It is fairly long winded, but I didn't see anything too bad in
it.
But, you can always skip the name; phone number and seat number
bits to make it anonymous.

It’s a bit misleading isn’t it
You scan it, and it’s gets loads of clicks
But how many people actually report incidents ?
Think it’s very sad that it’s come to this, suppose it’s just a
mark of our society, very sad that it’s needed at all

But - it is good that it is there. A while back when Sarah Cox
was reffing a game, there were a couple of guys in the South
stand who were making bad comments. I would have used the system
then to alert the stewards.
Basically, there was no steward around and I'm not sure where
the guys were sitting, and - even if I did know, then I didn't
fancy going to confront them on my own.

A few years ago, I took my primary school aged son & a friend to
see Quins vs Exeter. There were some pissed-up blokes behind
us, Exeter fans, there on a stag do, being pretty obnoxious.
The family behind us copped it more than we did, but it made for
a fairly unpleasant afternoon (though the result and my son
throwing-up on the way home didn't help much either). I'd have
used this facility in that situation.
I imagine someone will think that this is a whinger's paradise,
but it largely depends on how Quins manage reports of incidents
like this.
