Yes - a great result ! It was funny to see Farrell yapping away
(with no result) at the referee like a Jack Russell on steroids
       !

Probably concocting a formal statement together with Stephen
       Jones.

Clearly the energy levels they needed to beat us has depleted
them for the season......or at least till we play them again in
       March

I think some of the crowing might be a bit premature.
Let's see how we get on against them in march. The league is
very tight and any run of results should be good enough to get
       top 4

I am starting to wonder if Saracens' recent form is related to
the start of contract negotiations. It's clear that quite a few
senior contracts that were agreed in the early COVID rush before
the cap cuts are coming up for renewal, and unless they have
found some new forms of creative salary cap accounting, the
managment team are going to have some tough choices ahead about
what to offer and who to keep.
The last time they were distracted by salaries was when the shoe
finally droppped on their cheating, and it hit them hard. This
time isn't quite so drastic, but I wonder if thoughts about
finding their next contracts and the break up of the squad are
weighing on their minds. Time will tell, but they've looked much
less committed since the new year.

Not sure about that. I need to check but I remember it as them
being on track to overturn the initial 35(?) point penalty and
avoid relegation. The second points hit put survival out of
reach and so there was little point in fighting.

They did rally at first. But I also have a treasured photo of
the scoreline when they played us that week…
