Tricky one. Do we go all out for 5 points and good points diff,
and risk bath picking up a losing bonus point and making it all
a waste of time? Or rotate and accept an away tie in the last
16?

Interesting as if we lose to Ulster that would put Racing and
Cardiff out and make their game a waste of time. Do EPCR have
any regulations regarding team strength?

Unlikely we'll make top two and we can control what either
Toulouse or Bath might do, and either or both may take the
opportunity to rotate themselves.
So I'd be prioritising Tigers over the Ulster game. That said,
I wouldn't be looking at wholesale changes given the impending
two month break.
The backs can all play two games in six days comfortably. For
me, Anderson has done okay but no more than that. I'd be
bringing Lynagh in for him.
I'd be making a few more changes in the pack for Ulster. Starts
for Lewis, Herbst, CCS, possibly Riley or Jibulu.
I wonder if players/clubs have any insight as to 6N selection
yet? If Dommers isn in Borthwick's plans then I'd be tempted to
rest him against Ulster. Its a long season and he's played
virtually every minute up until now.

I reckon we need to overturn a 20 point difference, us to get 5
points and Bath none. Tries for are equal. If Toulouse put out
a full side, that may be possible so we should start with a
strong side.

I was thinking about this too. Qualification is guaranteed,
which is great. However, we want that home advantage, and so
should go for it and aim to get the 5 points. It gives us the
best chance to get past the last 16.
There is a 20 point difference between us and Bath. We could
beat Ulster by 11 and Bath could lose by 10. It could work! The
only issue would be if Bath get a BP of any kind which would
make the point difference maths irrelevant!

Go fully loaded. Only 2 games until a two month break for
heaven's sake.

Yes, that's certainly my preference. I wonder what the coaches
will decide.

Frankly I would have thought the club could do with the extra
gate money so go for it and hope to get a home semi
