I'm not sure how much of a bearing last season's results will
have on the current campaign. To give just two examples, to
finish on 52, Bath would have to win only 4 more games. I can
well imagine them improving on that. Conversely, to get to 20,
Newcastle would have to win 3-4 games which I can't see them
doing.

We’ve only got 2 more away games (2 games at neutral venues) - I
think this could give us an edge in what’s going to be an
incredibly tight run-in. The game against Leicester is massive,
win that and think we’ve got a good chance of top 2. FWIW I
fancy us to turn up against Sarries at Spurs.

I agree with most of this, but I won't even make the effort to
go to spurs, our performances against sarries away from home
have been so disappointing over the years.

We used to put in a big performance at home then more or less
not turn up away. Recently we've been capitulating at home too.
There was the memorable game at Wembley where Lowe pulled off an
amazing cover tackle. In away play off games we've started well
but then dropped off.
Very frustrating

Sure - fully agree.
There is a lot of change since last year - e.g, Newcastle were
performing a lot better than they are this year.
But - I think it is still an interesting approach and - it shows
that Sarries could still be top if they perform as they did last
year.

Isn't the wider point that with 7 rounds still to go, anyone
except Falcons could still finish top if they gain all 35
points?
More realistically, I'd think that everyone from Tigers (7th) up
is still imagining a run to the top. They're only 2 wins behind
Saints.

I'm with Fursty, I fancy us to get a result at the tottignham
stadium, we're due one. I always remember Goatman's tackle on
the wing as well against them at Wembley, that won us the game.
Then it's just Exeter and Enya. Saint's show that if you play
your game, Exeter can concede tries as well as score them but
Enya will be a lot harder and a BP or 2 would be a great result.
It is in our own hands though so let's see what happens....will
be fascinating
