In fairness, I'm not advocating a second team. Just a couple of
changes to keep it fresh. Massive difference. I'm not bringing
       in a load of kids.

It'll be an interesting team sheet today [emoji51]
Assume Smith's rest week (or 2) must have been agreed a while
back, and they would have assumed Jev would be fit.. so in a bit
       of pickle now!
Not got a good feeling for tomorrow's match but hope we pull
       something out the hat.

In a strange way, I think it's not so bad that Marcus is rested.
       Firstly, he can't play every week, as much as we'd like him to;
secondly, by managing his game time, hopefully it will prolong
his career; thirdly, and most importantly, we have to learn not
to rely on one player. There will be times when he's away with
England/Lions, and we need to have a backup plan. If that means
blooding new, young players now, then so be it. It's as good a
game as any (arguably the best) in which to give upcoming
players a run out. If not now, then when?

The good thing now is that for the first time since I can
remember really, we can bring in second choice players in most
positions who aren't a huge step down in quality. We used to
worry if a key player was out. I'm not saying you want to put
out an entirely second string team, but you could now rotate
       most players without really worrying
This team won't be picked and I know some are injured, but it
would still be a decent team

       Riley

Most teams which have rotated heavily have almost always
certainly lost (Bath found out last round). Im hoping we avoid
       mass changes.
       1. Baxter
       2. Riley
       3. Lewis
       4. Launchbury
       5. Hammond
       6. CCS
       7. Evans (If fit, if not James)
       8. Dombrandt
       9. Care
       10. Slevin (Might be better than Edwards for control and played
       there for England u20)
       11. Lynagh
       12. Andre
       13. Beard
       14. David
       15. Green

I'd like to see Launchbury either rested or starting on the
bench; also, Dommers rested. Both seem to have put in a lot of
       minutes.

I'd be happy to see Herbst and CCS play 8, if James stepped in
       for 6

Harlequins have named their matchday squad for Friday's
Gallagher Premiership fixture against Newcastle Falcons at
       Kingston Park (KO 19:45).
The reshuffled squad features six changes to the Starting XV
that lined up against Gloucester in Big Game 15.
In the engine room, Fin Baxter replaces the injured Joe Marler
at loosehead, combining with hooker Jack Walker and tighthead
Will Collier. Irne Herbst and George Hammond form a fresh
second-row partnership, with James Chisholm at blindside flanker
and Will Evans resuming at openside. Alex Dombrandt skippers the
       squad from number eight.
In the backs, Will Porter and Will Edwards start at scrum-half
and fly-half. Andre Esterhuizen and Oscar Beard maintain their
impressive Big Game partnership, with Cameron Anderson on the
left wing and Nick David on the right. Tyrone Green continues at
fullback for the six consecutive match.
Amongst the Impact Players, there’s returns for props Jordan Els
and Lovejoy Chawatama, back-row Chandler Cunningham-South,
scrum-half Max Green and wing Louis Lynagh. Sam Riley and Joe
Launchbury provide experience at hooker and second-row, with
Lennox Anyanwu adding versatility across the backline.
Director of Rugby Billy Millard commented: "We have a lot of
respect for Newcastle. It's been a massive week preparing for
the challenge on Friday night. It's always a unique and tough
match at Kingston Park and we know we'll need to be at our best
       to get the result."
       Starting XV:
       1. Fin Baxter (38)
       2. Jack Walker (51)

Not a bad side, although I really don't think Lynagh deserves to
be dropped as there is a good player in him, but he needs to
play. That is unless of course, he's already decided he's
       leaving
