I would say that you probably missed out on this one.
Fiji were very good to watch.

As annoying as he is, he has some good points.
I agree with the foreign selection policy, just have the best
players play, although I’m not sure Arundell is ready yet but
give it a full season and he could be the flair player to excite
       players.
The appeal for the game needs to increase, and part of that
would be having the national team play a brand of exciting to
watch rugby, but with Sweeney still knocking around I doubt that
       will happen anytime soon

Why do you associate Sweeney with the style of rugby England
       play?

Probably because he rehired Jones in 2019, then hired Borthwick.

Not meaning to dig but this whole narrative that if you sack
Bill Sweeney then England will suddenly hire a coach that will
play fast running rugby is just tinkering round the edges. It
might make people feel better but will almost certainly not
       solve the problem.

Sweeney runs the overall RFU business. Conor O’Shea is the
Executive Director of Performance Rugby. Sweeney and the RFU
Board will have signed off on both decisions, but the
recommendations will have come from COS.
Unless you reckon Sweeney is actually in control of everything
and the RFU doesn’t have a proper delegated authority structure.
Which would be a very concerning state of affairs, but have you
got any evidence to support it?

In 2019, when Jones' contract was extended, the position of
       Director of Rugby was vacant.
Sweeney was involved in appointing COS.

Sweeney is the CEO. He’s not there to make rugby decisions. He
       didn’t choose Jones or Borthwick.

My understanding from people I speak to at the RFU is that Jones
/ Borthwick were appointed by Sweeney and report(ed) directly
to him and not COS. I believe that is why (among other things)
there is such a battle going on at the RFU.

Players going overseas does at least allow the good younger
       talent here to shine.
