I'd heard someone say that we had a bigger crowd for the Big
Game than England did for their last game at HQ. Is this true?

Yes, but the last England game was an RWC warmup after a
       disappointing run of results...

       The Wales match attracted 74,256

I can't face clicking on another me I me I Woodward article but
exciting the crowd is something I can get behind. I know I get
grouchier the older I get but I felt compelled to walk out of
the Wales game on 60 minutes and didn't bother using my ticket
for the Fiji game (a wise decision given what happened). I've
spoken to quite a few people who feel the same about Borthwick's
       boring England.

Some sensible points in there that I think many would agree with
but also a fair bit of meaningless SCW soundbitery "front up"
"lead the way" and asking why Martin Johnson isn't on the RFU
board because he's "no nonsense" Lots of solutions "that are
just common sense" but no real way to implement them.

England have played an awful lot of uninspiring rugby over the
years, sadly it's the norm, not the exception. A decent
performance against top class opposition every few years doesn't
       compensate.
It's the reason I became a season ticket holder. One too many
awful days out at HQ. While they keep selling out the ground
while playing such awful rugby I don't see anything changing.

It's practical, too. If you coach a team to be safety first to
the exclusion of everything else, you completely cut out the
possibility of winning games on brilliance alone despite being
beaten up front. The flip side is that you're supposed to be
more reliable and harder to beat, but taken to extremes it costs
you games you should win because you don't score enough points
when on top to put teams out of the game. The semi final was a
       prime example of this.
I have zero confidence in England's ability to win matches
simply because they are not coached to turn possession and
territory into tries against good defences.

But Quins turned up at Twickenham after a disappointing run of
       results (Toulouse, Bath)...
