But the point is they were there, does not matter why they were
there, they were. So whats the issue?.
If memory serves, for a womens domestic qame not attached to a
mens game, we had around 4-5k at the stoop for the "Game
Changer". Im not sure if that has been broken by another club
since but Id say we are definitely leading the way with regards
to trying to grow the womens game. Side has been very poor this
season on the field but off it we are going in the right
direction (as I think the club as a whole is)

Halfway stage, three points off the leaders... A couple of other
teams have one more win than us.

I think the original post was probably referring to the women's
team, who have really struggled this year. The back division has
been pretty good when it gets going, but there seems to be a
lack of power in the forwards that leaves them very exposed.
Ms Poorfour Maj is very frustrated by how much Ellie Kildunne
seems to be trying to do it all herself - but I suspect Kildunne
is just as frustrated that she's having to try to get some go
forward into play.

Agreed, very underpowered up front. And that’s strange as, on
paper, the pack is at least as good as a few years ago if not
better. Losing Beckett hurt us but I do wonder about the
coaching input.

It may be down to injuries or absences. I thought the
replacement forwards made a positive difference on Saturday, but
I haven't seen most of them playing this season.

At Twickenham for every England game you've got thousands who
wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for a corporate jolly, do
they count in attendances?
Do we also need to ask all the attendees for the men's game if
they primarily booked for the women's game and subtract them
from the men's attendance?

Womens team have stood still while others have improved. We seem
stuck in the mindset of trying to beat teams upfront, but unlike
previous, we don't have the pack for it anymore.
We have always had a good set of backs, but that's neither here
now there if they don't get the ball. Best winger in England
spent her final year as a spectator on the wing for us (Breach)
then decided to leave.
We look aimless, unfit, and poor in the set piece. Coaching
seems to be letting us down imho. Also not sold on some of our
recruitment and retention. Big rebuild is needed for me

I agree with the analysis but not necessarily the reasons. The
creation of PWR has given teams that previously weren't
competitive the budget to attract stars, and Quins lost more
good players than they gained
There is a plan to rebuild, and Quins have a decent Centre of
Excellence to develop new talent, but it is taking longer than I
had expected. I am not sure if that's down to the coaching or
not, but Amy Turner does not look a happy bunny at the moment
and imagine she will be under serious pressure if things don't
improve.
Sadly, it looks like we might have picked up some bad injuries
on Saturday, including losing a second fly half after Mackenzie
went back to Oz. Looks like a tough second half of the season
ahead.
