Entry at BG15

I know there are a number of RFU Stewards amongst us who may
know the answer:
Will we be allowed entry with a small rucksack on Saturday,
entry requirements have been pretty inconsistent over the years?

Stadium policy:-
BAG POLICY
Ask yourself before you attend 'is my bag essential?'
It's better for everyone if you do not bring a bag at all.
If you do need to bring a bag, the following is permitted: A4 or
smaller.
We do not allow large bags into the venue. If you do need to
bring a large bag with you, please check with the stadium or the
supplied pre-event information on the bag drop facility. There
may be a charge for use of this facility.
All bags are searched so please give yourself enough time to
arrive and have this completed before entering.
An exception will be made for medically necessary items after
thorough proper inspection at the search gates.

Why the bag issue?

As you say BB, it has been inconsistent. If I were you I would
assume you have to leave it at bag drop if bigger than A4. In
the last 18 months or so they have allowed bags ( though
searched) at the smaller events. Bag drop has been necessary for
the larger events, like this.

I have been taking the same old small rucksack to all rugby
matches, including Twickenham, for more than 10 years when a few
years back "the rucksack police" began to assemble at the
entrances to Twickenham. Last year having finally got the
message that I couldn`t take my bag with all of my knickknacks I
was somewhat peed off to see people being let in with their
bags.
Hence the question.

Ridiculous rule which is “policed” inconsistently
… if you come up against an RFU “jobsworth”
you might have an argument on your hands and you won’t win
! Best solution at a winter game is to wear your backpack UNDER
your big winter coat and you won’t be challenged. Whatever
“justification” they come up with in terms of
“security” or “health & safety” the
reality is they don’t want you to sneak in food & drink so
you are forced to buy it inside the ground at ridiculously
inflated prices … once inside you will see plenty of
people wearing backpacks who have clearly not been challenged
… it’s the luck of the draw I’m afraid

Just carry the home made bacon sandwich in your pocket.
You don't need a rucksack.

A big lunch before entering the ground is the answer - no need
to buy overpriced food then! Doesn't help with the beer, of
course, but you can't have everything...

Absolutely; especially with a 17:30 kick off.
