Perhaps WEv will come in at 7, with Chis going to 6 and CCS
dropping to the bench.
If Lewies is okay to start then I can see him continuing with
Launchbury in the 2nd row. Hammond and Herbst were the
replacements last week. If we only have 5 forwards then I
imagine Irné might miss out. If Murley is still out, though, I
think we will have a 6-2 bench again. The only backs I think
could be considered with Porter and Beard would be Anyanwu and
Hyde; both of whom offer a lot but maybe not enough for the
coaches. Edwards seems to have dropped out of consideration.
I would like to see Riley starting as Hooker, personally.
However, I suspect the coaches have Walker as their first
choice.
So possibly:
1. Marler
2. Walker
3. Collier
4. Launchbury
5. Lewies
6. Chisholm
7. Will Evans
8. Dombrandt
9. Care
10. Smith
11. Lynagh
12. Esterhuizen
13. Joseph
14. David
15. Green
16. Riley
17. Baxter
18. Lewis
19. Herbst
20. Hammond
21. Cunningham-South
22. Porter
23. Beard

Really disagree with the calls for smith to be dropped in favour
of Evans

I agree. We have arguably the best fly-half in the country, less
controversially the most exciting, and yet some people would
bench him? In front of a 70-80k crowd he'll be in his element,
surely?

This may be controversial but I'd start Beard over David. Beard
is a strong runner who seems surprisingly physical. David's
elusive running against a tiring defence could be a real weapon.
Chis must start. CCS also against tired defence could be a big
impact. Question is, who to hook if the entire back row are
playing well? Maybe Dommers?

Beard has certainly made an impact during his recent cameos from
the bench. I suspect he'd come in for Lynagh rather than David.
I know it's a tough task up against big Joe, but Lynagh didn't
cover himself in glory defensively last week and like the whole
of the back three, had a bit of an off day under the high ball.
Re the back row, I'm just pleased that we have the strength in
depth to actually give Dommers a rest at some point.

I would like to see a subtle change with Chis playing at #8 and
Dommers at 6 and Wev at 7.

Interesting combination.

The kicking game could be interesting. There is a yellow weather
warning for gusting wind.

Some weird changes.
Anderson? Hardly the sort of fixture you'd want to make a debut
in, would have still given Lynagh a go, or moved Beard to the
wing and played Lennox in midfield.
Harsh dropping James to the bench, I'd have him over lamb at 6
on his recent game.
