I suspect he just wants to spend more time with his family and
this has nothing to do with mental health in the traditional
sense. Best wishes to him.

He gets huge criticism from online creeps. Has done for years.
It takes its toll.

I'm not privvy to any of that so I'll take what you say with a
pinch of salt in terms of it affecting him in any serious way.

Farrell is a world class 10 he’s an average 12. A lot of the top
coaches inthe game rate so he can’t be that bad. He’s aggressive
which I actually quite like.
If he needs a break from it good for him. Our very own Joe
Marler did and we supported him.
Good luck is all I can say. It’s up to the others to take his
short now.

You'll hate my take then. I think the entire thing is a
convenient smokescreen to try and buy some sympathy from people
over recent criticisms, while hiding a completely different
reason for taking a break. (Which, of course, isn't our
business).
As far as the criticism goes, I think a lot of it has been
totally valid. Not insults or abuse, but the genuine criticism.
I admire his mindset and I find it very difficult to believe
that these peripheral things have much of an effect on him.
All the above considered and whether I'm right or wrong, I don't
wish him any harm and hope all is fine with him and his family.

Now you know how most of us feel having to read your obsessive
cr@p about Quins.

drive him to give up playing for England for his and his

probably more serious, happened, something that we're unaware of
and are unlikely to ever find out.

So what is it you suspect is the 'real' reason?
Don't be coy.

You need to read more carefully and hopefully you will
understand what people post. The above question makes it clear
you either didn't read or didn't understand the post.

I'm not being coy. As my post makes extremely clear, I have no
idea what the reason is, and I don't expect we'll ever find out.
If I had to guess, it's something more serious than online
criticism, that has seriously impacted him and his family. A
credible threat. A stalker. A meeting in public with someone who
could've been genuinely dangerous. I have not made any hints or
suggestions or been "coy" because it could be any number of
things and it feels ghoulish to speculate on details.
No doubt you will try and find another way to continue the petty
point scoring. Talk about ungracious.
