They produce winners - in house. You only have to see how
average players who leave Saracens for other clubs become and
conversely how good they get when they join from other clubs. As
long as people like you keep thinking that it's just money that
causes that then the longer you won't understand and the longer
       Saracens keep winning.
       >
       --- End Quote ---
This is extremely confused logic. Saracens are producing winners
in house, and you can see this by how some of the players
they've produce go on to be poor elsewhere? Doesnt sound like
those guys were winners after all with that logic.
Quins have twice won the league with squads stuffed with academy
products. Our record stands comparison with any other side who
weren't guilty of sustained breaking of the salary cap. It's
difficult to keep hold of your home grown players when one team
is collecting the cream of the crop, and there's only so much
       success to go around.
Saracens success over time came from an excellent crop of
academy products allied to signing a number of top notch talents
from rival clubs who would much rather hold on to them, topped
up with signings of many top internationals and some squad
filler. No other team would be in a position to do that legally,
and neither could Saracens. Every team produces excellent
players. Keeping hold of them while still stuffing the squad
with talent was the hard part.
Exeter are the real gold standard here. Lots of academy talent,
lots of good not great club players, and a judicious signing or
two of quality internationals, and they were able to dominate
the league and Europe. Hats off to them, a genuinely brilliant
achievement and an example for everyone to look up to.

In case you haven't noticed, they're still stuffed with talent
and they are still the best team in England.
You're going to have to find another reason why they're so good,
you can't keep harking back to a 'legacy' bounce or whatever
other description you want to use.
Maintain this hubris that you've got nothing to learn from the
way Saracens do things and you'll continue to lose.

Not sure what post was in response to but it didn't really
       address my points.
The success that Saracens earned while cheating makes it easier
to keep hold of players while signing their pick of players from
elsewhere. The players who have benefited from years of top
level wages and external payments have not lost those payments.
Now we can probably assume there's no dodgy payments (impossible
to know for sure, sadly) but the squad is still stacked with
players whose collective market value is far beyond any other
English team, partly because certain players are happy to be
paid less in order to continue with the success, partly because
they've already earned a huge amount so there's less of a
financial driver, and partly because they feel they owe the
       club.
Do you really think that Saracens would have been able to keep
hold of a squad containing all those top players prior to being
exposed for cheating had they had to pay for their squad
legally? Do you really think that Saracens would have been
anywhere near as successful had they not been able to keep all
the excellent academy players from that particular crop
alongside top internationals and some of their rivals best
players? Do you really think that Saracens would have been able
to sign important players away from rivals if their success had
not made them such an attractive option?
There's a reason why Saracens' squad continues to be an outlier
       in terms of internationals.
As for "keep losing", Quins have lost as many matches as
Saracens this season, but this isn't an argument about Saracens
being better than Quins. Saracens have quality coaches and it's
no surprise that a club stuffed with the core of the England
team for the last decade, multiple Lions, some of the best
players produced by other English teams, and some top
internationals has led to a strong winning culture that survives
even when they lose a few players (not like other sides haven't
also lost players). That's why what Exeter did is so much more
       impressive.
