Police have "made contact with a man".

it is true that black people refer to each other as ni-ggers but
they also refer to whites as honkys. Personally, I agree with
Quinky ( I know I need to go and get therapy) one does get a
little tired of having black issues constantly highlighted as if
none of us are already acutely aware of racism. It feels like
racial law obeying people are being policed with a heavy hand.
Across England and Wales, 82% of people identified with a White
ethnic group, 9% with an Asian ethnic group, 4% with a Black
ethnic group, 3% with Mixed or Multiple ethnic groups, and 2%
with other ethnic groups. Go to section: Explore constituency
data.29 Mar 2023
(The House Of Commons Library)
Now if you were to propose that Black Awareness Publicity
Budgets were instead spent on helping the impoverished and under
educated ethnic minorities to get out of their very difficult
predicament then huzzah.
just stop preaching to the converted.

Quite the generalisation you have there Deadly. I had no idea
you live in a 1970s Blaxploitation film.

Not to South African people either (of which the perpetrator
appears to be.)
According to Wikipedia - Demographics of SA, the population is
still categorised into 4 groups:
Black 79.2%
Coloured 8.9%
White 8.9%
Indian/Asian 2.5%
I am assuming that in the context of this incident, "Mixed Race"
equates to "Coloured".

I know it's important to signal one's virtue at every
opportunity, even to anonymous people on a message board you
will never meet, but...
Sometimes it's ok to say there's no need for a root and branch
investigation into racism in a British institution over an
isolated incident involving a foreign BAME chap.

Ah, Wikipedia... Must be true then 🙄
It's nice that you think you speak for a nation. You don't.
Besides, who knows what the individual in question "identifies
as"? (I believe that's the current parlance/approach).

Well it wasn't isolated was it? The racism he faced happened
over a number of years and his complaints were brushed under the
carpet, Roger Hutton even admitted the club was institutionally
racist.

ok but let's get back to the point, however that individual
"identifies" it doesn't give him the right to use a racial slur
against Ugo

But apparently it's not necessarily a racial slur, depending on
how he identifies. If he's black, it's not racial. Apparently.
