I understand there was no proof that Bongi said what was
alleged. In fact, it's been claimed he was misheard as he was
speaking Afrikaans.

His England teammates don’t think it’s alleged and the SA
players and their fellow countrymen would wouldn’t they. I’ve
heard a Saffa friend of mine say white side in Afrikaans and it
doesn’t sound very like what was said to Curry so I’m not sure
how you could misunderstand. Maybe the accents differ greatly
around SA.
