There Eggchaser podcast have released an extra episode. Makes
interesting listening. I think Monye might have exaggerated
things a tad and left a few key details out.
I don't think he'll come out of this unscathed.

This could well be aimed at Arsile, but it's equally applicable
to the whole situation. Ugo (rightfully, it seems) was very
upset. Twitter (or whatever it's called now) gives limited
characters, and it's human nature (especially when upset) to put
things across in a passionate manner. And of course, Ugo gives
his side. The issue then comes when (as happened on here) a
reasonable question is met with "How dare you question
anything?" or words to that effect.
I'm not doubting Ugo. I also - like everyone on here - don't
know the full story. I wasn't there. There are always two sides
to every story. The idea that there can only be one side is one
of the reasons why the world is in such a cr*p state at the
       moment.

In the interest of balance I shall leave this here from .gov.uk
and beat a hasty retreat to The Keep....
The data shows that, in the year to March 2022:
there were 663,036 arrests in England and Wales – a rate of 11.1
       arrests per 1,000 people.
the arrest rate for black people was 2.4 times higher than for
white people – there were 21.2 arrests for every 1,000 black
people, and 9.0 arrests for every 1,000 white people.

Why? In what way was balance required and how does this help?

I agree with you to some extent, there's a lot of rumours, if,
buts and maybes flying around so there is a need for the
investigation to be released before making judgements. However
also there is no harm in offering sympathy for what Ugo
experienced and condemn racist abuse and if this man is guilty
then hoping he is held to account for his actions.

In the interest of balance, how does this compare to conviction

I started listening to the egg chasers, but lost interest when
they started going down the route that mixed race people can't
       be racist.
As I mentioned on the earlier post, the racial situation in
South Africa is somewhat complex. It certainly isn't white
people Vs everyone else. In fact, some other conflicts are
probably more explosive, eg Zulu Vs people of South Asian
       heritage.
