I think most coaches could manage a win against a team that
doesn’t show up!

You did indeed beat Thamesians Spartans (2XV). Maybe because
last season you were in the same league as their 1XV??

We were, we moved into the merits to rebuild. We played 2 fun
games against their 1st XV last season. 1 win and 1 loss. Always
good fun though :)

Not much fun for the rest of the teams in the league. I'm sure,
like Hayes, more teams won't bother playing the return fixtures.

I played against Hayes once. Awful club. I ended up in hospital
being x-rayed for a suspected broken leg; that was the high
point of the game. I think my team mates were jealous. Cold
showers with about two inches of water in them. Can't remember
if we even got fed.

For those who are interested, the Ams started yesterday having
won 14/14 and 2 points clear of Hammersmith & Fulham at the top
of the league.
Yesterday was a genuine 14-pointer though as H&F were our guests
in Teddington.
The end result was a convincing 65-12 win for Quins leaving us 7
points clear at the top with 3 games to go.
