Can't we just have Tony Blackburn if we have to have a DJ? At
least the music he plays will fit better with the antiquated
sound system?
Or Deadly & HESM belting out a set of classic duettes???

Wasn't that pre Laurie D's tenure? Since then we've had Pete
Tong and Sister Bliss both of whom were fantastic.
Also being over 50 there aren't many times when I feel young but
reading this board is always one of them, thank you to you all.

Looks like it was 2019
HTML https://discover.ticketmaster.co.uk/sport/big-game-42268/
and
Laurie seems to have joined in November 2019
HTML https://www.talkingrugbyunion.co.uk/laurie-dalrymple-appointed-chief-executive-of-harlequins/24052.htm.
I'd assume plans were already in place before he joined

I agree - they are very good fun.
But - I thought that they were more of a Big-Summer-Kick-Off
band.
Typically, the post match band for Big Game is in the Robshaw
bar.

Checked with my daughter - she said she knew one of his songs,
but that was about it.
It looks like a good time to be in the bar...!

I hadn't heard of him before the Big Game announcement.
But - I was in a car on Saturday and the radio was tuned into
Capital.
They played one of his songs and then they had a big
announcement, that he has been added to the line-up for their
Xmas Ball

So - I guess he is fairly popular.

Should be a good gig according to my youngest daughter in
response to my question "is that good" when the announcement was
first made.
